As a MoviePass member, you can see as many movies in the theater as you want – unlimited 2D movies. All you have to pay monthly fee, starting from $29.99. When you sign up, you get an app for your smartphone and a membership card that works like a debit card. When you want to see a movie, just check in at the theater on your phone, then swipe your membership card like any other debit card and enjoy.
But, unfortunatelly, there are some quirks: although promises to watch unlimited movies, you can actually watch one movie per day, and you’re able to see a film one time – no repeat viewings were allowed. You can’t see a 3D or IMAX movie, just 2D. It’s a service for 1 person and 1 ticket – it’s not for couples..
Also, since the MoviePass is an annual membership, meaning you sign up for an entire year and are billed monthly – if you cancel more than 30 days after you’ve started your membership, you’re charged a $20 termination fee, plus you’ll have to pay for any tickets you used up until that point if they cost more than what you’ve paid for MoviePass.
The price varies depending on where you live (if you’re in bigger city, it will be more expensive) and how long you are willing to commit for.
