Newport Beach based company Strand Craft is already world famous for its outrageous daring open styled super yachts with its own supercar inclusive. Now, yacht builder with the attached tender (but not any but a tender and comely curvaceous sports car, the SC122 or SC166), is working on the first version of the story Shooting Brake derived from a Ford Mustang.
When asked directly about the project status, Kurt Strand, President of Stand-Craft didn’t reveal many details. In fact, he simply stated that the Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 Super Snake Shooting Brake Stand by Craft will be a prestigious and unique Mustang Station Wagon with body currently under construction in collaboration with an unspecified “show-car manufacturer based in Los Angeles “.
The Shelby wagon will retain the supercharged 5.8-liter V8, but it will be upgraded to make 850 horsepower, 188 hp more than the production version. That should be good for a 0-60 miles-per-hour time of 3.3 seconds, Strand Craft says – with the dog in the back.
The interior will feature leather upholstery, Recaro seats, sound system McIntosh from 1,000 watts of power.
A wagon version of the Ford Mustang will be available to purchase in April for an unspecified amount of money.
