Lexus has released the first pictures and technical details of the model RC Coupe ahead of its premiere which will be held in November at the Tokyo Motor Show. In the new model were adopted stylistic details that Lexus has already promoted through the concepts such as LF-LC and LF-CC. This can be seen on the front of the car, and on the silhouette of the car. Compromises have been made, especially in the design of the headlights, which are conventional and probably are cheaper solution compared to much prettier design we’ve seen on the concept LF-CC.
The same can be said for the radiator grille which has a smoother look. The car is equipped with a large, 18 -inch alloy wheels that enhance the impression of a powerful sports car, while the 19 inch wheels are available as an option. The interior looks sophisticated and luxurious. At the top of the center console is seven inch multimedia screen and navigation system whose contents can be controlled via the Remote Touch interface, which is located next to the gear lever.
In Tokyo, will be exposed two versions, RC 350 and RC 300h Hybrid. The first is driven by 3.5 V6 petrol engine, while the hybrid model in addition to petrol unit of 2.5 liters have reinforcements in the form of an electric motor. Soon we can expect RC F model, which, under the hood, will probably have a 5.0 liter V8 engine with 461Hp ( 339 kW) and 543 Nm of torque. This car could be introduced in January at the Detroit Auto Show.
