The Wider 42 is a luxury yacht devised by Tilli Antonelli (founder of Pershing Yachts), who along with his dream team of engineers and designers have successfully redefined the weekend-cruiser category and transform it in versatile platform to enjoy the sea. The process of expanding the useful area of the deck takes only 12 seconds and gives the deck 18 square meters with a width of 6.6 meters, unthinkable for a 42 foot yacht until now. While offering more comfort and convenience to passengers, the boat also gains more stability, high performance and lightweight, built by exploring brand new vacuum infusion moulding techniques for carbon and vinylester resins, also used in both Formula 1 and the aerospace industry.
Despite being only 12 meters long, the vessel features a sleek belowdecks cabin with a large C-shaped seating area that converts to a double sleeping berth, a galley with a sink, a refrigerator, a freezer, and an icemaker, as well as a full head with a stand-up shower and carbon-fiber toilet.
Powered by twin 480hp Cummins engines, the Wider 42 has a top speed of 44 knots (around 50mph). It also burns less than 30 gallons of fuel per hour at a 40-knot cruise speed—and has a range of more than 350 nautical miles.
