JetBlue Airways will launch a new premium class, dubbed Mint on flights between New York and Los Angeles starting in summer 2014 and New York and San Francisco starting in fall 2014. The new offering is the best coast-to-coast premium service which will feature lie-flat seats, nonstop entertainment, dine like New Yorker and refreshing onboard and off. “Mint is JetBlue‘s refreshing take on a premium class product. It is stylish service minus all of the stuffiness often associated with the traditional front-of-the-cabin experience,” said JetBlue President and CEO Dave Barger in a statement.
During this minted flight, travelers can relax in super-comfy seats with plenty of room, a massage feature, cushions with adjustable firmness and the ability to lie completely flat for much-needed naps and enjoy the inflight entertainment including 100 channels from DirectTV, SiriusXM Radio and access to Fly-Fi, the industry’s first high-speed satellite-based Internet.
First-rate service will also feature a pre-departure drink, followed by a cocktail and amuse-bouche once airborne. The popular New York City-based restaurant Saxon + Parole will be in charge for the onboard menu, so travelers will customize their meal by choosing among five “comfort food with a twist” offerings, served tapas-style, followed by dessert. Fresh cappuccino and espresso made from the first purposely built cappuccino machine for a U.S. airline will be available throughout the flight.
Birchbox complimentary amenity kit designed specifically for JetBlue, will be filled with editor-approved beauty, grooming and lifestyle products, as well as an artisanal sweet treat as a parting gift.
