So much awaited, Lamborghini’s roadster version of its model Veneno (“poison”) debuted roadster version of its model Veneno (“poison”). The Italian luxury automaker decided to make great show while presenting the limited edition Veneno Roadster at the flight deck of the Italian naval aircraft carrier Nave Cavour on Sunday night in the port of Mina Zayed in Abu Dhabi. As announced in October, Veneno cares 6.5 liter V12 engine with 552 kW/750Hp who is paired with a seven-speed ISR robotized manual transmission, and all four wheels drive. Acceleration of Veneno Roadster, which received a special “Rosso Veneno” color, from 0 to 60mph takes 2.9 seconds and top speed is 220.6mph.
“The Lamborghini Veneno Roadster is one of the world’s most exclusive cars with the most extraordinary performance,” said Stephan Winkelmann, President and CEO of Lamborghini, commenting on the event. “We are honoured that Lamborghini was chosen to represent the Italian car industry in the UAE, as a perfect example of iconic Italian super sports cars, and that we have the opportunity to show the Veneno Roadster for the first time in Abu Dhabi.”
New roadster beast which weight only a 1490 kg thanks to the use of carbon fiber will be available in a series of nine specimens. The version shown off in Abu Dhabi was resplendent in the specially developed colour ”Rosso Veneno”, but for the price of $4,5 million, each of nine buyers can choose the colour of the Veneno to suit their personal preference.
