Ford has released the first official photos and technical details of the latest generation of its road icon. The design which is based on the concept of Ford Eos clearly reflects the character of the car, its strength and aggressiveness. A new grille, headlights and front bumper give the car a streamlined look. Side silhouette is similar to its predecessor, and the ” B ” pillar is now black and visually integrated into the rear side window.
At the rear of the car is a classic Mustang style, with a three-piece brake lights and glass cover between them. Besides coupe version, Ford has released a photo of a convertible, which has a folding fabric roof. The interior design is characterized by clean, rectangular lines and quality materials including leather. The latest Ford systems and technologies, such as Intelligent Access, SYNC, MyFord Touch, Track Apps, MyColor new Shaker Pro audio system are also integrated in the car.
The choice of engines comprises with three operating units: 3.7 -liter V6 with 303 hp ( 223 kW ) and 365 Nm, 2.3 -liter EcoBoost four-cylinder with 309 hp ( 227 kW ) and 407 Nm, and the most powerful, 5.0 -liter V8 that delivers 426 hp ( 313 kW ) and has a maximum torque of 529 Nm. According to earlier announcements, the engine will initially be able to be combined with a six-speed manual and six-speed automatic transmission. Compared to its predecessor, the new Mustang has improved rear suspension and steering system. Ford has announced that the new Mustang will be in dealer showrooms in the United States in the second half of 2014.
