All we remember nine-year-old Ralph “Ralphie” Parker and his funny schemes he used to convince his parents to get him Christmas gift – a Red Ryder BB Gun with a compass in the stock, and “this thing which tells time” (a sundial). If you’re truly fan of cult classic “A Christmas Story“, now you have a chance to bid and win two-nights stay in at the original A Christmas Story House in Cleveland, Ohio! This special once in-a-lifetime experience coincides with 30th anniversary of the movie.
The house, in Cleveland’s Tremont neighborhood, which was used in exterior shots of the film, features a leg lamp in the window and plenty of props, memorabilia, costumes, and other bits and pieces from the film. The house was purchased 13 years ago by Brian Jones, who created A Christmas Story House & Museum and a Gift Shop. One lucky bidder and his three friends will get not only 2 days, 2 nights accommodations at a Ralphie’s house, and 1 night stay at The Renaissance Cleveland Hotel, but also over $800 in gifts from a Christmas Story House Gift Shop including A Major Award Leg Lamp.
All proceeds from the auction go toward the Christmas Story House Neighborhood Restoration Project.
