The 11th annual Tibet House US Benefit auction is taking place on December 16 at Christie’s (20 Rockefeller Plaza) in New York City. The event, organized in conjuction with global charity auction website Charitybuzz is aimed at promoting and preserving Tibetan culture. Proceeds from the auction will benefit the Tibet House US and The Tibetan Community of New York and New Jersey.
Items to be auctioned off include a lunch with Academy Award nominee Uma Thurman and Robert Thurman; personal voicemail recording from Hugh Jackman; tickets to Macbeth and backstage meet-and-greet with Ethan Hawke; backstage passes to see Grammy winner Sting in concert; tickets to Motown the Musical; a set visit to Boardwalk Empire; VIP tickets and backstage passes to The Dr. Oz Show; shopping for vegan shoes with designer Arden Wohl as well as memorabilia from Robert DeNiro, Beastie Boys, Ben Harper and vacation packages to Bali, Vietnam, New Delhi and many more locations around the world.
The Honorary Chair Committee for the event includes Donna Karan, Petra Nemcova, Martin Scorsese, Yoko Ono, Trudie Styler, Sting, and Uma Thurman. Tickets to the event start at $175 and can be ordered online.
