Recon Instruments, a world leader in Heads-up Display (HUD) technology for alpine sports just launched its most advanced HUD – Snow2. The company’s 4th generation of HUD is more powerful and more efficient than previous models. The Snow2 is a wearable tech product aimed at winter sports enthusiasts, allowing them to monitor a lots of different information including speed, vertical descent, jump airtime, navigations and distance thanks to built-in GPS and sensors.
The display turns on only when you look at it, which extends battery life by 35 per cent over the previous generation. The device also comes with a powerful dual-core processor resulted with three times faster processing. It also lets you track buddies so you can find them based on their phone locations. Get your text, call and social notifications on screen. And, for the more fun, Snow2 will get a full Facebook integration, so users will now be able to share and view achievements from the slopes. They just have to install the ReconOS 3.2 software update, available via the Recon website.
Recon Snow2 is available now as a stand alone unit for $399, or you can pair it with a set of goggles for another $150.
