Canadian manufacturer of batteries Tire wanted to test the durability of their products in the coldest conditions, and hired artists to develop an ice ‘ pick- up’ truck, in life-size. The truck was then driven about a mile and melted down for about 40 hours. Together with sculptors from all over Ontario, in place called Coroh, they made the truck from about 4.98 tons of pure ice. They carved out the whole body in its natural size, and even details like license plate have not been forgotten.
Then they drove about mile, at a speed of 12mph, wishing to reach a record for the Guinness book, and to see how much battery can bear and endure the cold. This surely was not a piece of cake, don’t you think.
