Seems all Mariah Carey Want for Christmas is £1 million. The wealthy singer performed at a private celebration in London, specialy for the son of Sultan of Brunei. For only three songs, she was reportedly paid almost £1 million ($1,65 million). Prince Azim, 31-year-old billionaire and playboy has invited Carey to be part of the show at the Dorchester Hotel on New Year’s Eve, since they have been friends for a number of years. A representative for Mariah confirmed she performed at the event, but they didn’t reveal how much she was paid.
They told the Daily Mail newspaper: “It was a private party so we don’t discuss the fee. Mariah has known Prince Azim for many years. They are friends and have done a lot of charity work together.”
Mariah Carey wasn’t the only celebrity who performing at the event for the sultan’s son. Diana Ross also entertained guests at the New Year’s Eve event. Actresses Sophia Loren and Faye Dunaway and model Jerry Hall were some of them.
