New Zealand, known for its exquisite natural beauty is a premier destination for travellers around the world. Aro Ha, new wellness retreat in Queenstown, New Zealand that promises the ultimate elixir for those seeking optimal health and well-being, is actually the first wellness center of its kind. The purpose built, self-sufficient, luxury resort is set to open on 12 January.
Aro Ha was a three year design to build project – construction was completed in December 2013 – and has a maximum 32 guest capacity. Each of the 11 retreats have been architecturally designed with sustainability and environmental awareness in mind. Unlike most health retreats, Aro Ha will take a holistic approach that requires ample participation, and many hope it will yield unparalleled results. This kind of approach has been refined over the last 10 years, and is based on vinyasa Yoga, sub-alpine hiking, functional strength training, meditation, therapeutic massage and detoxifying vegetarian cuisine.
Morning yoga and pranayam practice will reawaken the dormant energy that is your life force. Hiking through the hillsides will remind you where your heartbeat is and encourage you to look within. Exercise and movement classes during the day will tone your body. The spa and your daily massage will wash the tension away. Homegrown nutrient rich cuisine will nourish you. Each evening a restorative yoga session will slow you down and regenerate your body, mind and “sole”.
Accommodation at Aro Ha has been designed to celebrate the fundamental acts of sleeping and bathing in Zen inspired luxury. There are 8 accommodation units each with a unique aspect.
What makes it so different compared to the other wellness retreats: hiking in New Zealand’s World Heritage area; first-of-its-kind fusion of results oriented wellness program and purpose built, permaculture based, self-sustaining facility; intimate target group size of 12-15; a team of wellness professionals focused on providing a peak experience; Whole Foods Cleansing Cuisine – gluten free, vegetarian, paleo, and enzymatically active menu; All inclusive program pricing and Zen inspired accommodation.
