Maker of the popular Sleep Number beds, Select Comfort unveiled its newest innovation – the x12 bed, probably the best bed in the world. This smart bed that puts both body and mind at ease took two awards at CES in Las Vegas. It is the first Sleep Number bed to offer SleepIQ technology which lets users effortlessly track breathing and heart rates, sleep patterns, movement and even control snoring.
“If your spouse is snoring, you can just hit your Sleep Number universal remote,” explained Chief Product Officer Annie Bloomquist. “When you hit the button, it will raise your partner’s head 6 degrees to temporarily relieve mild snoring. It’s really neat.”
The bed has wireless connection so can connect via Wi-Fi to your home network and/or your smartphone via Bluetooth to show you a sleep score. That means you can compete with your partner to see who gets the best sleep score.
Beside SleepIQ Technology, this smart bed is advanced DualAir technology. Adjustable air chambers and a Firmness Control system allow consumers to easily find their ideal level of comfort and support on each side of the bed – their Sleep Number setting. It also feature, several massage settings, under-bed lighting, and a timer that can be set to return the user to a favorite massage or sleeping position, or turns off the lights on their night stand. It even lets customers journal daily caffeine consumption, exercise, TV hours and other routines that might affect their sleep.
The x12 bed will be available in pilot markets in February and will be available nationwide in the coming months. Prices start at $7,999.99.
