Volkswagen is seriously prepared for the new edition of the NAIAS Detroit Motor Show. Their new car, Beetle Dune concept, will have its premiere on the Show and could, during the 2015, enter production. In any case, the “Beetle” in off-road edition received more attractive appearance with modified bumpers, alloy wheels of 19 inches, additional security features, increased clearance, XDS differential and two-tone seats, and the car is also slightly longer and wider than the standard model.
As far as the engine, under the hood is a 2.0 TFSI gasoline engine with 155 kW/211Hp and 280 Nm which is paired with a six-speed DSG gearbox. This Beetle Dune with front-wheel drive from 0 to 60mph comes in 7.5 seconds, and can do a maximum speed of 141mph.
