It seems that David Beckham can’t help himself from pampering his daughter Harper. This two years old Daddy’s girl now gets £600,000 ($1 million) painting for her room. The former footballer and wife Victoria, had specially commissioned the painting from Damien Hirst around the time of Harper’s birth in July 2011. The 7ft painting with buterfly motif, titled Daddy’s Girl will hang in Harper’s nursery inside Beckham’s £40 million ($57 million) Kensington mansion.
“The removal firm was careful with the Damien Hirst. It was packaged up and no one wanted to drop it and put a hole in such a valuable work of art,” the sources told the Sun.
“Harper is a lucky girl having such an expensive painting hanging in her room,” they added.
This isn’t the first time that the Beckhams have splashed out for their only daughter. Beckhams are huge fans of Damien Hirst work, so the designer was the same. In April 2012, the couple purchased a one-off baby monitor specially designed by Hirst for Harper.
