Everyone knows that in January, Arizona is location which attract the collectors cars from around the world. While only three days to RM’s Arizona madness, we remind you on some of the world’s finest motor cars which will cross the auction podium at this year’s sale. More than 100 lots, featuring vehicles from several notable collections, will be offered during two days sale, scheduled for January 16-17 on the grounds of the Arizona Biltmore Resort and Spa in Phoenix.
Among a handpicked selection of stunning cars at the 15th annual RM Arizona, certainly stand out classics and machines from the golden era of American motoring, including a three-owner 1930 Duesenberg Model J ‘Disappearing Top’ Convertible Coupe by Murphy, which is offered for the first time in a public sale.
Also included in the sale is famed “Siata-Ford”, featured in numerous publications. With Italian lines hiding an advanced sports chassis, it’s no surprise that the Siata 208S Spyder attracted enthusiasts who liked to drive—including Steve McQueen. Thirty-five were made, but only one was graced with the talents of California’s hot rod elite. This particular 208S has a Shelby Competition Cobra V-8 in place of the original Fiat 8V engine, complete with Competition Cobra T-10 transmission.
Finally, those with a passion for open-top motoring have their pick from any era: a beautiful 1935 Lincoln Model K Convertible Roadster by LeBaron shares the spotlight with cars as diverse as the 1957 Alfa Romeo Giulietta Spider, 1972 Ferrari Dino 246 GTS, 1954 Buick Skylark Convertible, 1954 Kaiser-Darrin Roadster, and 1937 Cord 812 Phaeton.
