Tesla Motors’ Model S became the first electric car to top the monthly sales ranking in any country, and the third top selling plug-in electric car in the U.S. market in 2013. So, no wonder why this popular car was inspiration for nothing less than office desk especially comissioned for Draper University in San Mateo, California. Under the name – “Deskla“, the initial concept sketches were drawn by Vuolo Design, Hero City – a club for entrepreneurs at the Draper University, while for the construction was in charge East Bay Muscle Cars (EBMC).
The dashboard/desk was modeled off the car’s factory interior trimmings, while the seats of the car were transformed into office chairs. “Deskla” features three 120v electrical outlets, six USB ports and working Tesla LED lights, all powered via the car’s original charge cord. The construction of this fully functional and operational office desk took EBMC six weeks.
