Dezeen Watch Store and London department store Selfridges have teamed up to present a futuristic concept store among other exciting concepts launching this month. Visitors of Selfridges’ Imagine Shop will be able to explore the walk-around digital model of Zaha Hadid Superyacht, as well as the Dezeen Watch Store pop-up where you will be able to virtually try on a range of watches.
“Dezeen has long been a rich source of reference and inspiration for the creative teams at Selfridges, and we’re delighted to finally be collaborating with them on such a uniquely imaginative project,” said Linda Hewson, director of creative and windows at Selfridges.
Zaha Hadid‘s first spacecraft-like yacht is part of the Unique Circle Yachts – a family of five individual 90m yachts, designed specifically for the German company “Blohm + Voss“. The JAZZ yacht, the first of five in the range, has a sharp solid prow and becomes more open towards the back. The other four boats will be customised to meet the requirements of their owners. the Jazz super-yacht will be the biggest and most expensive item ever sold at Selfridges.
Selfridges’ Imagine Shop, which opened on the ground floor of Selfridges on January 6 will run until 2 March as part of the Festival of Imagination.
“Imagination is the mother of originality, we encourage imagination in every way possible” said iconic retail legend Harry Gordon Selfridge.
