To honor this third year of the partnership between Gucci and the Recording Academy, Italian brand launches the latest special edition Grammy watch. This Grammy Special Edition Interlocking watch celebrates the 55th Annual Grammy Awards. The cutting-edge look of the pieces draws its inspiration from the passion that music evokes. The timepiece is a variant of the Interlocking collection, which features a sleek and modern take on the Gucci‘s GG interlocking motif. This is the first of its Grammy watches to feature a dial made from grammium, the same material used for the iconic statuette shaped like gramophones. The design is minimalist, displaying only the Gucci logo and a highly polished and brushed PVD case that recalls the grooves on a vinyl record. The case backing is embellished with the Grammy Awards logo.
Available in sizes 42 mm and 37 mm, the watch comes in two variants: the sun-brushed stainless steel case features a black dial, while the black PVD version comes with a dark-yellow dial.
Gucci Timepieces & Jewelry and the Recording Academy will introduce the watch on Jan. 25, the night before the annual music awards show, at a private event at the Grammy Museum, with R&B and soul artist Janelle Monae. In previous years, Jennifer Hudson and John Legend have kicked off watch launches.
