Victoria Beckham has confirmed that she will open her first standalone store in London. The new boutique will open on London’s Dover Street in the autumn and New York is next. The interior of the 7,000 sq ft, three-floor space will be designed by architect Farshid Moussavi, whose previous projects include the Olympic Park. Plans include “drilling a massive hole through the middle” of the building’s interior, Beckham told. Along with her main collection, the London’s new boutique will also house sister range Victoria Victoria Beckham, as well as accessories and denim.
“It’s young and cool,” Beckham said of the area. “There are great galleries in the area. There’s Dover Street Market directly opposite of us, which is not a bad thing.”
VB brand is now five years old. So, she also confirms plans for opening an office and showroom in Chelsea, New York. “I want to focus on the U.S. this year,” said Beckham. “To take it to the next level, I need a team on the ground living and breathing everything here in America.”
