As began this year by favoring black, I was just thinking that women have to settle for a classic elegance. But Hublot still decided to please ladies with vibrant timepiece. Hublot’s colourful Big Bang Pop Art timepiece has been launched parallel to the opening of the SIHH in Geneva, which is actually brand’s well known strategy. Inspired by that genre of art popularized by Andy Warhol in the 70s, the Big Bang Pop Art collection includes a series of four styles for women.
You can pick pink, blue, purple, and apple green with clashing colors on sub dials, creating a painter’s palette effect. The watches shown here have a diameter of 41 mm, either a satin-finished polished steel or a 18 carat 3N satin-finished polished gold case.
The bezel is made out of white gold or 18 carat 3N polished gold with 6 H-shaped titanium screws, countersunk, polished and locked. The bezels are set with 48 baguette topazes (blue) or 48 baguette amethysts (purple) or 48 baguette sapphires (pink) or 48 baguette tsavorites (green).
The straps are made out of blue, purple, pink or green alligator sewn onto tone-on-tone rubber for comfort and flexibility, while the clasp is gold as well.
Inside the case beats a self-winding mechanical chronograph with a catchy date window at 4 o’clock. Power reserve of over 40 hours. Water resistant to 100 meters.
The series is a limited edition of 200 pieces per dial colors.
Long live fun, vibrant colours. Long live Pop Art and long live life!
