When you read NN you might think on newsreader, but hardly that you think on luxury bag by one of the world’s most respected luxury fashion houses. But that’s exactly what Louis Vuitton offers – its NN 14 Noe bag. Designed by Marc Jacobs as his last artwork for LV, this limited edition bag is the priciest project in Louis Vuitton’s new arsenal of S/S ’14 bags, retailing at $31,500. The NN14 is the season’s statement update of the iconic Noé bag, famously designed by Gaston-Louis Vuitton in 1932, and was made on demand of champagne producers, they craved for a functional bag to carry their bottles from A to B.
The NN14 consist of several different models and types; from historical monogram to highly sophisticated designs. All share the NN14’s distinctive details: a hand-pleated leather tassel closure, a Louis Vuitton-embossed leather handle, and the emblematic LV padlock and key bell. Inside the bag, a matching removable zippered pocket is perfect for stowing valuables. Les Extraordinaires is the extremely rare and precious editions whose extravagant embellishments – feathers, crystals, sequins, studs, and alligator leather intended for those with deep pockets.
The NN14 Noe ad campaign was dedicated to Marc Jacobs five muses that has inspired him through the years: Catherine Deneuve, Gisele Bundchen, Fan BingBing, Caroline de Maigret, Edie Campbell and his long-time friend Sofia Coppola.
The expected release date is set on mid February 2014.
