RM Auctions has expanded its European presence with its inaugural Paris auction, which will be held at Place Vauban immediately after the International Automobile Festival, which is taking place from 29 January to 2 February 2014, and ahead of the Retromobile exhibition taking place 5-9 February. The sale will boast in excess of 50 spectacular cars with the average value across all individual lots exceeding €500,000 ($683,000).
Headlining the auction is the incredible Harburg Collection, which includes a 1950 Aston Martin DB2, a 1955 Jaguar D-Type, a 1955 Ferrari 750 Monza Spider by Scaglietti, a 1964 Porsche 904 Carrera GTS, a 1969 Lola T70 Mk 11b by Sbarro, a 1973 Porsche 917/30 Can-Am Spyder, and a 1982 Porsche 956 Group C Sports-Prototype.
Also included in the sale are three rare racers from the country that hosted the world’s first motor race, France. They’re nicely spaced in terms of eras, as the 1936 Delahaye 135 S is pre-war, the 1953 Gordini Type 24 S is post-war, and a Works 2008 Peugeot 908 HDi FAP Le Mans Prototype is wholly modern.
The sights, sounds, people, and, of course, the cars make this auction a not-to-be-missed event.
