La Panthere is the newest Cartier’s fragrance which pays tribute to the most cherished animal of the House of Cartier. The Panther is more than a mere symbol for Cartier. Beside it’s a symbol of the brand and Panthere perfume from 1986, La Panthere was also the nickname of Cartier’s lover and muse Jeanne Toussaint. According to brand, the Panthere is a timeless icon that is both predatory and elegant, restrained yet always ready to pounce.
The new perfume is a symbol of freedom for 2014. The floral and oriental composition of the fragrance was created by perfumer Mathilde Laurent. Sophisticated and sensual perfume contains sparkling top notes of grapefruit, mandarin, and orange blossom; spicy floral middle notes of tuberose, jasmine, gardenia, and freesia and oriental sandalwood base notes with a mix of tonka bean and labdanum.
Erin Wasson has been chosen as the face of La Panthère, appearing in a campaign video shot by Sean Ellis and a print campaign by Peter Lindbergh.
New La Panthere fragrance comes in a glass bottle which recreates the face of a panther, and will be available beginning March 15. Prices: €59 ($80) for 30 ml, €84 ($115) for 50ml and €105,50 ($145) for 75ml.
