Maison Martin Margiela has teamed up with wallpaper brand Omexco to produce an exclusive wallpaper collection. The Paris-based fashion brand choose the Omexco for the partner, since this Belgian company which was founded in 1976, uses solar energy, their recycled waste and materials made from recycled fibers for their prints. The collection includes five design themes – ‘La Paésine’, ‘La Mosaïque’, ‘Le Rideau’, ‘Le Point de Croix’, and ‘L’oOptique’ with several color offerings for each. Patterns vary from soft to bold.
The collection will be introduced at Salone del Mobile in Milan in early April and at the Asian edition of the Maison&Objet show in March.
From the end of April the line will be available for purchase in around 3000 stores around the world, with prices ranging from €50 ($68,5) per meter for the Mosaïque, Rideau, Point de croix and Optique and up to €800 ($1,100) for each 1.9 x 3 meter panel of the Paésine design.
