Want to own your amusement park? It’s now possible, because such one item is available on eBay. Although it’s Berlin’s often forgotten Kulturpark, and later renamed Spreepark which was once a place for fun and entertainment in the Soviet controlled East Berlin, and is abandoned for more than a decade, but still is amusement park which can be yours for €1.62 million ($2.2 million).
Built by the Communist East German Government in 1969, Spreepark was originally called Kulturpark Plänterwald. At the time, it was the only permanent amusement park in both East and West Germany and featured a towering ferris wheel that dominated the skyline.
The property was for sale last year, even receiving a bid from a concert promoter, but one of the stipulations to buying the deserted park is that it must remain as a recreational or amusement park until 2061, so that obviously disrupt the sale.
