Swiss company Suitart launched the world’s most expensive custom tailored suit. Aptly named Diamond Armor, this man’s suit is embedded with with 880 black diamonds; the lapels and stitching feature an additional 600 black diamonds with a total weight of 140 carats. The buttons of the jacket consist of Swiss watch steel 316L with DLC coating and are graced with additional 280 black diamonds. The diamonds on the fabric are processed with a gold setting with extravagantly Swiss craftsmanship and sewed on by well-experienced tailors. But that’s not all.
It is waterproof due to nano-technological sealing, dirt-resistant and bulletproof (certified by NATO standards). It can withstand bullets fired from handguns ranging from 9 mm pistols to .57 Magnums. The suit is also equipped with a built-in cooling system and a painting printed on the inside of the jacket. The silk lining of the Diamond Armor shows the artwork “Unidad Molecular Aleatoria” by the artist Luciano Goizueta which was prominently featured, in the Hollywood blockbuster “This Means War”.
Diamond Armor can be yours for a mere $3.2 million. And such a suit requires appropriate accessory such as a 24 carat golden silk tie developed by fabric specialist Weisbrod from Zurich and EMPA and Carl F. Bucherer limited edition watch.
