Ferrari has announced the construction of a theme park within the PortAventura resort near Barcelona. Ferrari Land should open its doors in the 2016, and will cover as many as 75,000 square meters which will include the fastest and highest roller coaster(vertical accelerator) at the Old Continent, as befits the manufacturer from Maranello. Also, within the same resort will be built a new five-star hotel decorated, of course, in the style of the Ferrari, which will have 250 rooms, a restaurant and driving simulator.
Ferrari has just picked this location because it already attracts 4 million visitors each year, and half of the tourists coming from abroad. The project will cost about $167Million, and will be a kind of branch of Ferrari World theme park in the United Arab Emirates which was open in 2010.
