The Dunphy home featured in “Modern Family” just hit the market with an asking price of $2,35 million. The four bedroom house in the Los Angeles neighbourhood of Cheviot Hills is the fictional home of the characters in the Emmy Award-winning American sitcom. The house is used for all exterior shots of the Dunphy abode, while interior shots take place on a set at ABC studios.
The two-story house spreads on2,792-square-foot and features an elegant formal dining room connecting to a gourmet kitchen, two balconies, mahogany hardwood floors, crown molding and is surrounded by mature trees. Its location is near to three country clubs.
The current owner, Paul Chiames, who bought the home for $1.97-million in 2006, is paid a fee by Modern Family’s studio each time the house is filmed, and the new owner will be offered the option to maintain the same deal.
