First, a reminder that the AMG was founded in 1967 by Hans Werner Aufrecht and Erhard Melcher, and in the 2013 they set a record-breaking sale. More specifically, during the 2013 Mercedes AMG GmbH has placed worldwide 32,200 vehicles, which has exceeded the expectations of the company itself. Early this year at the Detroit factory presented GLA45 AMG, but the real novelty is yet to come – the new AMG GT or SLC, which will compete with models like the Porsche 911.
New AMG GT is expected to have its premiere on July 20 during the German Grand Prix, and the earlier announcements saying that it will run a 4.0 liter V8 twin turbo engine with 500Hp, in conjunction with the seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox. Some unofficial news, however, say that the Mercedes AMG GT will be available in three versions, with a power range from 400Hp for the base variant, to 570Hp for exclusive Black Series. AMG GT will be lighter than the current SLS AMG models, and will have a starting price of around 100,000euros($138,000).
However, AMG GT will not have gullwing doors like the SLS AMG, but the normal version of the door. Mercedes AMG GT will have the wheels of 19 inches, and up to 60mph the car will accelerate in less than 4 seconds, while top speed will exceed 190mph. Gorden Wagner (Head of the Mercedes design) recently announced that AMG GT will be ” the most beautiful car that will carry the Mercedes sign”.
