Guerlain is synonym for luxury cosmetics. This well-known label prepared some new shades of its Rouge G lipstick collection for this summer. There are seven new hot shades: five permanent colors and two limited-edition collector shades that look pretty snazzy in the vibrant lacquered cases. Inspired by the most precious element in jewelry: a bar of gold, the lipstick is placed horizontally which made it feminine with curves. This is the creation of Lorenz Bäumer, the audacious jewelry designer of the Place Vendôme. He created a clever magnetic mechanism to reveal with one click a hidden mirror from within the case. The two limited edition pieces have sumptuously lacquered exteriors that look as feminine as they are modern.
The lipstick itself is also indulgent of an exceptional formula. It contains ruby powders to create glow and radiance on the lip, hyaluronic acid microspheres fill with water on contact with your lips to swell their initial volume by six times, smoothing the appearance of your lips in the process, tiger grass and vitamin A palmitate combine to help plump lips by boosting the synthesis of collagen fibers and wild mango butter which enriches the formula to maintain optimal hydration levels.
Five new shades are priced $51:
15 Galiane, a nude beige
16 Gaetane, a deep brown
77 Geraldine, a luminous pink
78 Gladys, a vibrant fuchsia
48 Geneva, an orange
Two new limited-edition collectors shades ($54) in special lacquered packaging:
864 Rose Grenat, a velvety reddish pink
866 Rose Glace, a nude pink
The Rouge G range is currently available at the Guerlain Boutiques. Come April, they will be available at select locations of Saks Fifth Avenue, Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, Bloomingdale’s, Dillards, Sepora, and at Bergdorf Goodman.
