Marlon Brando’s Private Island Tetiaroa will open its doors on the 10th anniversary of The Godfather actor’s death. The Brando – an exclusive yet eco-friendly private-island resort on a breathtakingly beautiful private atoll is located in the French Polynesian atoll Tetiaroa, just 30 miles north of Tahiti. The resort will boast 35 deluxe villas each with a plunge pool and private beach area when it opens on July 1.
Also, there will be restaurants showcasing Polynesian and French cuisine, a luxurious Polynesian spa, a lagoon-view bar, beach bar, pool, organic garden, library, boutique and water sports. The resort has been designed around clean, renewable energy sources, to protect this island paradise for generations to come.
Activities on offer at the resort include cycling, swimming, bird watching, sailing or paddle boarding to a neighboring island, and snorkeling or diving with tropical fish, including blacktip sharks, eagle rays and bonefish.
Brando’s eight surviving children united to build the luxury resort, which his friends and family believe he would have wanted for Tetiaroa, where he would visit to escape media attention.
