Van Cleef & Arpels celebrates the arrival of spring with new additions to its Cosmos collection. Expanding its tradition of flower-themed collections, French brand has unveiled the Cosmos collection which saw a variety of blossoming creations on display, including examples of previous floral designs such as the Frivole and Rose de Noël lines. The pieces are inspired by an iconic Van Cleef & Arpels flower dating from the 1950s, and include earrings, rings and necklaces, available either in the combinations of mother of pearl, rose gold and diamonds or onyx with white gold and diamonds. The design is characterised by its four heart-shaped petals, one of the brand’s favorite themes.
“The beauty and simplicity of a floral motif in jewellery resonates with pretty much every culture, whether it’s European, Asian and American,” Nicolas Bos, chief executive officer of Van Cleef & Arpels said.
Prices of the Cosmos line range from $13,000 for an onyx pendant that transforms into a clip to $22,100 for the mother-of-pearl Between the Finger ring which will also become the main spectacle of Van Cleef & Arpels new advertising campaign.
Bos explained, “They are present in our collections in a variety of motifs, materials and prices, but we are realizing that beyond a circle of true fans of the house or jewellery connoisseurs, this is a very little-known concept.”
