But, he has much more reasons to be happy. Some media reports that Griffin recently spent $9 million on a newly built Pacific Palisades home. His custom-built “Cape Cod-inspired”property nestled a “popular celebrity alcove between Malibu and Santa Monica, has three storeys and 9,100 square feet of living space.
There’s six bedrooms, six and half bathrooms, gym and three fireplaces. The master bathroom and closet are mammoth. Espresso-toned wood floors and details set off the interiors. Coffered ceilings and doors that disappear to open the home to the outdoors are among a roster of amenities. The kitchen island has enough seats for the Clippers starting lineup. The home theater is walled in floor-to-ceiling burgundy suede panels and includes a 130-inch screen and stadium seating.
Outdoors, the three-acre property is prime for entertaining. There’s a saltwater swimming pool with multi-colored LED lights, an outdoor kitchen and lawn fill the three-acre lot.
According to Realtor.com, with the purchase, Griffin joins Miami Heat forward Chris Bosh and former Los Angeles Lakers center Vlade Divac as notable basketball residents in Pacific Palisades. Bosh was previously renting out his resort-like mansion in the Palisades last year for $45,000 a month, and Divac currently asks $3.25 million for his own chrome and stucco contemporary.
