Bang & Olufsen is well known by its fancy speaker systems for decades, but today Danish manufacturer unveiled its first ever 4K Ultra High Definition TV, the Beovision Avant. There’s a reason Bang & Olufsen is calling its new 4K TV the “one that moves.” Innovative television with a sleek built-in sound panel and Smart TV support will follow you around the room, and special stands and mounts change its position.
The BeoVision Avant is constructed predominantly from aluminium, glass and even fabric to create the sleek look. Up front, the glass panel has an anti-reflection coating to reduce reflections by 98% and around the back there’s even a compartment to tuck away an Apple TV or an external hard drive.
The 55-inch TV features a 4K UHD LED panel with 3D so is as future-proofed as they come. It has six HDMI inputs, of which five are UHD capable, two USB ports and connections for external speakers. There’s also an integrated wireless audio transmitter that is compatible with B&O’s recently launched wireless speaker set-up. At the bottom of the set is an integrated, moving soundbar containing eight speakers, each with their own amplifier in order to provide three channel sound – left, right and centre.
The Avant is available to buy now from Bang & Olufsen stores for the pricey sum of £5,995 ($10,130). If you want to add a wall, table or floor stand, prices start from £695 ($1,175) for those accessories.
