The new vision of this manufacturer of exclusive, high quality mechanical Swiss watches underscores the incorporation of technological advances in production, but above all maintains the heritage, craftsmanship and historical knowledge of watchmaking, instilled in the brand in 1946 by its founders and namesakes. Their latest offering – the Element Series, combines the nobility of gold with the advanced treatment method of physical vapor deposition to the exceptional Grand Shar collection.
Inspired by the great mixtures and contrasts of cultures and unique environments of the Far East, the Element Series represent a combination like no other of a warm 18k rose gold and a darker character represented in the black shadowy tones of PVD. Both unique properties combine to form the first two-tone Grand Shar in reversed color schemes on the Black and Gold Elements.
The Grand Shar Elements harkens on the themes of purity and elegance as highlighted by the new vision of Dubey & Schaldenbrand. The in-house manufactured, minimalist dial resounds its value with its simplicity. The dial is treated with PVD, satin polished and adorned with the signature counter contours of the Grand Shar series interlocking at the heart the timepiece. The noise is stripped out leaving the dial as a blank canvas for time. The assembly of the two-tone Grand Shar is held firmly together by blued screws on the lugs and the case back, while providing sharp contrast of an edgy electric blue color on lustrous black PVD.
The Grand Shar Elements are assembled with a Valjoux 7750 in-house modified, 3 counter chronograph with its date angled between III and IV. The rotor is carved out and plated with a black rhodium treatment and rose gold, visible through an open case back, that also showcases blued screws and refined treatment on the movement’s bridge.
The Grand Shar Gold and Black Elements will be limited to 16 pieces each worldwide.
