Azimut Yachts’s innovative ability and design excellence have once again received accolades with a prestigious Honourable Mention at the 23rd ADI Compasso d’Oro Award, one of the world’s most renowned international design competitions. Over 270 products – together with examples of the best in design produced by Italian design schools, a total of 322 pieces – were on display for the general public and members of the International Jury of the XXIII Compasso d’Oro.
An international jury awarded the Azimut Magellano 50 an ADI Compasso d’Oro Honourable Mention for design. Concept and interior layout are by designer Cor d Rover.
Azimut Yachts joins the prestigious ADI Compasso d’Oro Award Collection, named “A National Treasure” in 2004. The only one of its kind in the world, the collection recounts 60 years of Italian design and naturally bestows prestige on the products it chooses to include.
Azimut’s Magellano Collection yachts dedicated to “Italian Long Range” introduce important innovations both in terms of technology and cruising as well as furnishing and interior detailing design; the collection fuses aesthetics and functionality with an elegance and style that is unmistakeably Italian.
“With this award, we make Italian design history,” say Francesco Ansalone Azimut|Benetti Group Marketing director. “We are very pleased with this result. It confirms our ability to innovate and carry out applied research on every aspect of our product, which continues to be a winning strategy.”
Milan, which has always been a focal point and workshop for creativity and innovation, is also the birthplace of the Compasso d’Oro, to which it returns to celebrate its 60th anniversary (1954/2014). “The Compasso d’Oro Collection, which is expanded and enhanced every three years”, adds President Bocchietto, “is a National Heritage of creativity and production excellence that is the envy of the world, as well as a symbol of our culture and know-how and a valuable source of stimuli for younger generations.”
