Benito Mussolini, an Italian leader from 1922 till 1943 who created a fascist state by using personal charisma, the absolute control of the media and persecution of political opponents, was also a lover of luxurious cars. One of his cars has appeared at auction in France. Official car of Italian dictator Benito Mussolini, Alfa Romeo convertible, was sold at auction yesterday in the French city of Caen-Carpiquet for 180,000 euros($244,000).
The statement said that the car, which was completely rebuilt, bought a Russian museum, but it is not stated which one.
The vehicle is a unique model, designed for the King of Italy Victor Emmanuel the third, and then became a luxurious Mussolini’s official car.
