Few days ago, Christian Dior inaugurated a new Dior Baby / Dior Kids boutique in Paris on Rue Royale. Not far from the Jardin des Tuileries and the Place de la Madeleine, the Baby Dior outlet features emblematic Dior moldings. Upon entering, tiny patrons will be treated to the Dior Kids line. In this interior scheme, whose discreet charm evokes that of a family home, with its old fireplace and its plate-covered walls, the colors of the latest collections leap out – dresses in bright hues, dark suits, softly-colored shoes.
The ceiling painted by the artist Matthias Kiss, create the illusion of looking out a window onto the rose garden of the house at Granville where Christian Dior, himself, grew up.
On the first floor of the boutique, at the top of a staircase that evokes the elegant and famous one of 30 Avenue Montaigne, evening wear and the most exceptional pieces are displayed. It might be a new Dior address, but here the world is totally that of 30 Avenue Montaigne – albeit it on a child’s scale.
