Edinburgh’s Bramble Bar gets its name from one of the best modern classic cocktails, created by famed UK bartender Dick Bradsell. The Bramble is an amazingly simple drink with gin, lemon juice, simple syrup, creme de mure, and crushed ice. The Affinity Cocktail has been a long-time staple on the menu at Bramble Bar, Edinburgh’s prestigious cocktail lounge where the barrel-aged masterpiece is served in charming 10cl bottles.
For the first time ever, cocktail lovers will be able to enjoy the Affinity in a 50cl size, since UK drinks distributor Maverick Drinks proudly announced the first ever general release of Bramble Bar’s Affinity Cocktail. This unique blend of Byrrh and Noilly Prat vermouths is ready mixed to the award-winning bar’s own recipe. The recipe was described by Bramble Bar as being a sort of ‘modern old fashioned’ with “inspiration taken from 19th-Century bourbon and ‘snake oil bottles.’ Both often made outlandish claims.”
In honour of the outlandish claims, the bar has jokily included outlandish text on the label. “All a little tongue in cheek; we know full well we’re not ‘World Famous’…”
Each bottle is packaged with a classically styled label. They’re sealed with gold wax which is then embossed with a skull and bones. To enjoy, all you have to do is chill and serve.
