Janet Jackson recently checked out a $13.995 million penthouse at 40 Mercer St., the building that was a collaboration between hotelier André Balazs and Jean Nouvel. The half-dozen Grammy Award-winner was reportedly took a tour of the pad, which is being represented by Fredrik Eklund and John Gomes of Douglas Elliman. The condo spreads on 4,506 square feet (1,500-square-feet landscaped terrace) and features four bedrooms and three and half bathrooms.
The floor plan shows that the entrance opens into the large living room that has large glass walls offering panoramic views of the city. The living room space is an open area that has an eat-in gourmet kitchen and ample dining space as well. There is a cozy study behind the kitchen.
To the right of the living room are the guest bedrooms and the master suite. An “L-spaed” terrace wraps around the house. There is an outdoor Jacuzzi on the terrace too. Building amenities include 24/7 doorman and concierge services, pool and gym facilities along with dedicated parking.
Earlier this year Janet Jackson was in the spotlight when listed her NYC Condo for $35,000 monthly.
