Louis Vuitton has designed a travelling case for the 2014 FIFA World Cup trophy. The luxury brand has revealed that its monogrammed case, commisioned by FIFA and especially designed to carry the solid-gold World Cup trophy, will make its second appearance at this year’s hotly anticipated final. Made from 18-carat gold, malachite and brass hardware, the case features the fashion house’s iconic monogrammed pattern. It also opens from the front and at the top to allow the trophy to be easily removed when, at the final game on July 13, it will be presented to the captain of the winning team.
The trophy will be presented by Brazil’s most famous and sexiest export: supermodel Gisele Bündchen.
French fashion house also created the traveling case for the 2010 world cup trophy, which was awarded to Spain in South Africa.
