Qatar hotel investor Katara Hospitality and operator Hong Kong and Shanghai Hotels will finally open their new Peninsula Paris hotel on August 1, after several delays. After a €430m ($590m) renovation, new high-end hotel has every intention of overshadowing the most prestigious addresses in the French capital. Total investment has been close to €900m ($1,2m). The Peninsula Paris will become the 14th operational hotel in Katara Hospitality’s portfolio of 26 properties around the world and is located just steps away from the Arc De Triomphe and the Champs Elysées.
Located within a historic building dating from 1908, renovated and restored for contemporary greatness, the hotel promises to combine authentic Parisian charm with modern style. Housing 200 luxurious rooms, including 34 suites, the dwelling spaces are among the most opulent in Paris. Grey and beige tones, high ceilings, marble-lined bathrooms and sophisticated lighting will contribute to an ambiance of refinement. Works of contemporary art by international artists will adorn the walls.
With its collection of eclectic restaurant and dining options, The Peninsula Paris promises to bring a new dimension of dining to the City of Light. Guests will enjoy in hotel’s six restaurants, most of which will serve French cuisine and one of which, the Lili, will feature Chinese dishes. At L’Oiseau Blanc, diners seated on the terrace will enjoy a 360° view of Paris during their meals.
When need relaxation, guests can enjoy a spa with treatments from the luxury brand ESPA, as well as a gym and indoor pool. If they need a vehicle for riding throughout the city, they can rent a green Rolls-Royce Phantom II limousine dating from 1934 or two MINI Clubman cars.
Hotel is introducing an “Avant-première” offer starting at €695 ($950) for room or “Début” offer starting at €750 ($1,024) including breakfast for stays when it launches August 1st, until 31 August 2014.
