United Arab Emirates carrier Etihad Airways revealed its new luxurious first-class travel option: “The Residence.” And all those with deep, deep pocket can enjoy in three-room, first-class suite designed to mimic a hotel room, while travel from Abu Dhabi to London, and that pleasure will cost a whopping $43,000. But for that price, travelers will be treated like royalty with the personal services of a chef and butler. The 125 square feet suite for two passangers includes a double bed with Egyptian cotton sheets, a natural fiber mattress, ensuite bathroom with stall shower, minibar, seats designed with the same leather used in Ferrari vehicles, wardrobe, anda 32-inch flat screen television.
“This is the ultimate in luxury,” Australian-born singer and spokeswoman Dannii Minogue said earlier this month when unveiling the suite on Etihad’s YouTube channel. “This is what you would expect if you were staying at the finest hotel or if you’re on a super yacht or traveling by private jet.”
The Residence will take to the skies in late December on the United Arab Emirates to London route, undertaken by 10 A380s owned by the airline.
