Hedge funder David Ganek listed his duplex at 740 Park Avenue for $44 million, just less than a week after entering contract to buy a penthouse at Jared Kushner’s Puck building for $28 million. Incredible apartment was the childhood home of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis from ages two through seven (her grandfather was also the developer of the building in 1929). In recent years, the four-bedroom co-op unit underwent a renovation and features a library, four fireplaces, two offices and two dressing rooms.
Not to forget Ganek’s incredible modern art collection (listing photos feature works by Warhol, John Baldessari, Richard Prince, Cindy Sherman, and Edward Ruscha).
Ganek purchased the Park Avenue spread in March 2005 for $19,1 million from Russian-speaking American businessman Rand Araskog and his wife Jessie.
Serena Boardman, Robin Stein and Jeremy Stein of Sotheby’s International Realty has the listing.
