At this year’s auction in Silverstone will be found “Cadillac” sedan from 1951, which served as the official state limousine of Eva Peron and her husband, Argentine president Juan Domingo. The car is estimated between $340,000 and $450,000.
A 1951 Cadillac Limousine owned by the former Argentine president Juan Peron and his wife Eva is due to be sold at auction in the UK.
The story of one of the most influential women of the 20th century has achieved global fame after Andrew Lloyd Webber filmed movie “Evita,” in 1996 in which starred Madonna and Antonio Banderas. Eva is in life became an icon of the working class and women in Argentina, and many of her supporters was looking for her to be appointed as vice-president of the state. However, her poor health did not provide that opportunity and she passed away in 1952. More than three million people turned up on the streets of Buenos Aires during the funeral showing her unbelievable popularity.
The car now has arrived in the UK, after many years that was exposed in “Evita” museum in Buenos Aires.
