Dodge has announced that the first produced copy of the Challenger SRT Hellcat will be sold at auction. The first 2015 Challenger SRT Hellcat will be in Stryker Red color (usually reserved for Viper), with a Black Laguna leather interior, special marks and certificate of authenticity. Under the hood is a 6.2-liter V8 engine with a compressor and 707Hp/880 Nm, paired with eight-speed automatic, and rear-wheel drive.
The car will be sold on September 27 at the Barrett-Jackson auction in Las Vegas, and it remains to be seen how much is the new owner will to pay to sit behind the wheel. Of course all proceeds will go to the charity purposes.
As a reminder, the Barrett-Jackson auction sold the first production of 2015 Ford Mustang for $300,000, the first production of 2014 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 has “gone” for $650,000, and the first copy of the 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 the new owner paid a $1Million.
