Earlier this year, Porsche Design presented the new fall/winter 2014 collection on at the New York Fashion Week. The ladies’ and men’s collection entitled “Chic Altitude” which was inspired by the glamorous lifestyle of the elite ski region in the Alps in the 1970s, will be available worldwide from August 2014 in all Porsche Design Stores as well as the official online store. “We didn’t want to take a nostalgic look back. Instead, we wanted to create a retro yet futuristic look, combined with our modern design. As a result, we have created a collection that uses bold, voluminous and protective shapes that swirl around the body. Elegant, ergonomically shaped structures are combined using the latest design techniques, such as bonding and seam sealing, trompe l’oeil texture effects and magnetic clasps,” says Thomas Steinbruck, Creative Director Porsche Design.
The collection combines a futuristic retro look with the purist style of Porsche Design, and is predominantly in timeless black. But, the collection actually has all: strong silhouettes, a vide variety of colors June Bug (Dark Green) and Pomegranate (Bordeaux) in the women’s collection, and Dark Green (Olive Green) and Potent Purple (Violet) in the men’s collection by, as well as high quality materials: exquisitely tanned, exclusive Italian lambskin, fine wool and double Georgette silk guarantee a luxurious feel.
This season, Danish model Nadja Bender and American model Sean O’Pry are the faces of the Porsche Design advertising campaign.
