Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith recently purchased eco-friendly home in Venice, Calif. for $2.75 million. This new modern 2,800-square-foot pad isn’t Smith’s primary residence, since he and his architect wife Nancy Mack own a much bigger house in Point Dume, Malibu, that they bought in May 2006 for $8.6 million. However, the house in question here has just been given a green makeover and was first listed for $2.8 million in May, this year, according to the Real Estalker. The three bedroom and 3.5 bathroom house has airy, open plan interiors spaces with ceilings range from 11 to 25 feet, concrete floors and aluminum-framed sliding glass doors and windows, surrounded with the lush lawn and trees making this place a bit warmer.
A double-sided fireplace separates the living room and the kitchen, and
leads you to the bedrooms upstairs where you’ll find the master suite with a private terrace (all rooms their own patios and en-suite bathrooms).
Outside, the house has an open patio facing a lush green yard, and an attached parking garage too. Somewhat unexpectedly, there isn’t a pool.
